Anna King to interview Bishop Rachel

Bishop Rachel's inaugeration will be streamed live on YouTube http://bit.ly/1JesAjW on Saturday 19 September, 4.30pm.

The Bishop of Gloucester, the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, will answer questions from Radio Gloucestershire presenter Anna King tomorrow (Thursday 19 September).

Bishop Rachel, who was the guest editor on Radio 4 today, returns to the studio to speak to the mid-morning presenter.

It comes just days before Bishop Rachel’s inauguration service at Gloucester Cathedral on Saturday 19 September at 4.30pm.

The service, which will be attended by more than 1,000 people from across the Diocese of Gloucester, is being simultaneously streamed live on the Diocese of Gloucester’s YouTube channel.

During the service, Bishop Rachel will be presented with her pastoral staff and will be placed in her cathedra (or bishop’s chair) by the Archdeacon of Canterbury, the Venerable Sheila Watson, on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury. She will also preach her first sermon in Gloucester as the bishop.

The interview with Anna King will be aired live on Radio Gloucestershire from 10am on Thursday.
