The Bishop of Gloucester, the Right Reverend Rachel Treweek, seeks to appoint an imaginative, mission minded, house for duty priest to join our mission in the beautiful Cotswolds. In line with our diocesan vision process, centred around Jesus’ offer of ‘life to the full’ in John 10:10, we are looking to appoint ministers who will help us develop new and liberating models of leadership and ministry in these village settings.
The Parishes of Avening and Cherington: House for Duty Priest in Charge
To minister in our two welcoming village communities a mile apart and set in a stunning location. Avening, the larger village (pop around 1200), includes many families and an excellent Primary School that we would love to engage with more fully. We offer a supportive team and a commitment to being ready to try new things to help our churches thrive at the heart of our communities.
