The Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, Bishop of Gloucester, seeks to appoint a full time stipendiary priest with a pioneering spirit and a heart for mission to lead ministry within two new housing developments in the North Cotswolds Deanery.
Initially appointed as an incumbent status Associate Priest within the Benefice of Quinton, Long Marston, Welford-on-Avon and Weston-on-Avon, and working closely with the Rector, the intention in due course is to develop a Bishop’s Mission Order as part of the deanery.
You will work with others already engaged in our vision of building a thriving Christian community, which is both Anglican and committed to working ecumenically, at the heart of the Meon Vale and Marston Mead Developments.
The New Communities Minister will be responsible for the formation and implementation of a vision and strategy for reaching and developing mission and ministry in these new communities, working with both established churches and fresh expressions. He or she will need to be an entrepreneurial priest, experienced in community building who will be able to engage from the start with our collaborative partners.
For an informal discussion about the role contact the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 01452 835594 or 07498 052045.
