St Mary the Minster with St Matthew and St Luke
Cheltenham is a thriving and culturally-dynamic Regency town set in the heart of the Cotswolds. The five-year-old benefice of Cheltenham Minster with St Matthew and St Luke, which was created from two well-established parishes, stretches from Cheltenham’s town centre towards its south-eastern residential quarter.
We are looking for a Rector who, under God’s grace, will build on what we have achieved so far and lead us on in worship, discipleship and outreach across the town. As the Rector of Cheltenham, the person will continue to develop the strong connection with civic authorities and communities in an imaginative and collaborative way.
Working across a variety of evangelical ‘streams’ and worship patterns, you will be a strategic, Spirit-filled, Biblically-based and prayerful leader who will inspire confidence, equip and empower others in mission and ministry, and work in partnership with other churches and organisations (including civic leaders) in seeking to make Jesus’ offer of ‘life to the full’ (John 10:10) known across the town.
For an informal discussion about the role contact the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 01452 835594 or 07498 052045.
