The Diocesan Synod is held three times a year, has 160 members and is essentially the 'Parliament' of the Diocese.

The Synod discusses Diocesan business and local concerns as well as debating important national issues.

The Synod assists the Bishop and his staff to support and oversee the work of the Diocese, to provide a system of democratic representation to its people.
