Priest in Charge of St Catharine's, Gloucester

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a welcoming and lively church into further growth (ER 157; USA 222). St Catharine's is a single church parish close to the city centre. There is a training curate, an OLM priest, an experienced Reader, some administrative support and some deeply committed and talented lay leadership. Gloucester and Cheltenham share a wide variety of good schools, shopping and leisure facilities. There is a superb new family house close to the church.The Bishop is seeking to appoint someone who has a passion for the Gospel and a heart for city ministry:-
- A prayerful priest who values the church's eucharistic focus but who is open and flexible and who will relish working with a wide variety of worship styles.
- A first class pastor, teacher and communicator, able to challenge and inspire people at different stages on their Christian journey.
- A training incumbent who can manage this busy parish and lead an able and enthusiastic staff team.
- A change manager but also a collaborative team builder - a leader of leaders - wanting to draw out and build on the gifting of others.
- Someone who will meet the challenge of increasing the involvement of children and young families in the life of the church, whilst developing the spirituality, skills and expectations of older people.
- A colleague who is keen to work alongside diocesan, deanery and ecumenical partners and build strong community links.
