Archdeacon of Cheltenham

The Bishop of Gloucester is seeking to appoint an Archdeacon for the Archdeaconry of Cheltenham.The Archdeacon will play a key role within the Bishop's Staff Team and in working with the diocesan officers, area deans and parishes in engaging with our communities, both rural and urban and reshaping our mission and ministry.
At a time when the Church is facing change boldly, the Archdeacon will need to demonstrate a deep empathy with, and understanding of, the contexts in which we minister, and to have the ability to lead, challenge and inspire.
The Bishop is looking for a man or woman of faith, prayer, imagination, enterprise and energy, who will need a strategic mind, excitement about theology, a capacity for collaborative work and a love for people.
