Community moth morning in Barnwood Arboretum
May 26 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 amFree
Saturday 26th May
Barnwood Arboretum at 9.30am
Join in with this great event that helps us better understanding wildlife in our community.
Having been attracted to a trap overnight, moths are sleepy enough to be handed round on the egg boxes where they have taken refuge. Join us to take photos and be amazed at the wonderful colours, shapes and patterns of our native moths. Discover for yourself that, far from dull, boring and scary, many moths are truly beautiful. This event is suitable for all ages and you can stay for a few minutes or until we have identified and released all of the moths (up to 2 hours).
We meet under a gazebo that will be visible from the Arboretum bridge.
