Sharing and learning day
May 18 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Friday 18 May 2018, 10am-4.30pm in Gloucester Cathedral
A day to learn more about local community and statutory organisations that promote inclusive community. A great networking opportunity at which key speakers will give inspiring talks about the importance of community and will explore the theme of inclusion, what it means and how can we all get better at it. Workshops will be run providing information, knowledge and support on how people and organisations can be as inclusive as possible.
The day starts with a talk from our morning key speaker, Dame Janet Trotter OBE DBE CVO, Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.
This will be followed by workshops, which run throughout the day (please see below).
In the afternoon before the final workshops a panel of key speakers will all talk about their experiences of being seen as the ‘other’, what that means and why inclusion in our communities is so important. This will be followed by a Q&A.
