Cappella Singers Special Concert in The Cathedral

Venue: Gloucester Cathedral

The Cappella Singers are giving a special concert in the Lady Chapel of the Cathedral, to begin at 7pm.

Their programme is of beautiful unaccompanied music by Heinrich Schutz, the most important German composer of the 17th century.
The concert comprises two sections of the Musikalische Exequien, composed in 1636, and eight pieces from his exquisite collection published in 1648 to celebrate the end of the Thirty Year's War.

Admission is free - a collection will be taken in aid of the Cathedral Choir.

You are advised to arrive early to be assured of a good seat.
