Residentials
There are three held centrally, usually at
Glenfall House, Cheltenham. Two of the events run from 6pm on the Friday evening; finishing after lunch on the Sunday, usually no later than 2pm. The other finishes after an evening meal on the Saturday.
Overview of Residentials:
Common Working
This is a really valuable introductory weekend for all teams members. It is based on experiential learning. It is a means of helping people become aware of good practice and develop the skills needed to be able to work effectively and sensitively with others in a variety of situations.
Ethics
This is an opportunity to explore practical ethical dilemmas facing us in contemporary society using theological reflection to help us arrive at prayerfully considered Christian responses rather than an unthinking gut reaction. The aim is to help become more critically aware of what this means for us as members of the church to live Kingdom values in such a way that our ministry and mission has authenticity and integrity.
Spirituality
This is rather like a weekend retreat in which everyone is given opportunities to reflect on their role in the local church and to become more aware of God at work in our lives, our work and our parish.
