Prepare for Easter... and then Experience it!

Prepare for Easter
As part of the Diocesan response to the Millennium Goals, Bishop Michael is encouraging churches to take action by participating in the Prepare for Easter initiative. He will be asking church members to think seriously about how they prepare for Easter, and asking people to pray and fast. There is a prayer booklet, which can either be used for individual prayer, or as an opportunity to come together in worship on a regular basis, maybe in church or in individuals houses. At the same time he will be asking people to fast, as part of their spiritual discipline, and in solidarity with the poor of the world - who are more likely to be the victims of economic uncertainty than any one else. If people want to, there will also be an opportunity to support the work of Christian Aid by donating money that has been saved from a fast.
