Gloucester Cathedral will be holding a Come and Sing Open Day tomorrow (Saturday 9 April 2016).
Girls and boys who are aged between seven and twelve are invited to come along and experience the fun of singing in this fantastic building and to get a small taste of what it might be like to be part of a Cathedral Choir.
The Cathedral’s friendly music staff will guide you through an exciting afternoon of singing.
• 12.30pm Registration (Ivor Gurney Hall, The King’s School)
• 1pm Singing (IGH)
• 2pm questions and answers (IGH)
• 2.30pm Short walking tour to the Cathedral Quire via the Cloisters
• 2.45pm Rehearse in the Quire

The afternoon will end with a performance by all the children who attend, so be sure to bring all your family and friends to enjoy this special concert.
Music has played a big role at Gloucester Cathedral for hundreds of years and you could be part of it. We want to provide opportunities for everyone to participate in singing which is why we have choirs for people of all ages and abilities. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out, come and sing!
