Bob CallaghanDursley vicar Bob Callaghan, National Coordinator of Inclusive Church will be taking part in a Spinathon as part of this year’s Sport Relief on Saturday 19 March.

The Spinathon will last for three hours and Bob’s time cycling will depend on the amount of sponsor money that he has been pledged. He has currently raised £420 and will be pedaling for two hours. When he hits the £500 mark, he will be cycling for three hours.

Bob is a huge fan of the gym and the welcoming atmosphere that he feels at his Berekeley gym, Dynamic Fitness.
In an interview for the Church Times last year, Bob said: “Churches could learn a lot from the welcome you get in a gym. Twice a week I go to a spin class. This is a high-energy, cardio exercise class using indoor cycling.”

The Spinathon is taking place on inside the Dursley branch of Sainsbury’s. It will run for three hours.

The Revd Bob Callaghan worked in parish ministry for almost 30 years before beginning work as National Coordinator with Inclusive Church in 2011. Inclusive Church works to raise issues around inclusion, equality and diversity within the Church.

Bob lives in Dursley and has Permission to Officiate within the Diocese of Gloucester.
