Chair of Trustees for Gloucester City Mission

Gloucester City Mission have been serving some of the most vulnerable in Gloucester city since 2003 and are now at the forefront of meeting the needs of many homeless people at the George Whitfield Centre. The last two years especially have seen an escalation in need and development and this is an exciting time to be involved in the work of the mission.

Due to the retirement of our current Chair of Trustees we are looking for a new Chairperson who has the desire to serve Christ in our city and a heart for the lost and hurting. This is an unpaid role that will require overseeing the legalities of running a charitable organisation and facilitating the bi-monthly meetings of the trustee board. Ideally, we are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of working with the homeless but essentially they will have great communication skills, the time to liaise regularly with the GCM manager, Dave Kinghorn, and other trustees, and have the vision to see the work of the mission develop and flourish.
