Church Buildings Team Administrator
Band 7 (£18,892-20,188 pa pro rata) for 21 hours per week
Initial 18 month contract
Location: Church House, College Green, Gloucester, GL1 2LY
The Church Buildings Team at the Diocese of Gloucester are currently seeking an Administrator to provide high quality support on a varied range of tasks. The team offers support and advice to churches across the diocese in the upkeep and adaption of their historic church buildings, and aim to help congregations and the communities they serve to find a sustainable future for their church buildings.
Working directly with the Senior Church Buildings Officer, and the DAC Secretary, the individual will be responsible for:
- Answering telephone calls and incoming enquiry based emails.
- Helping to arranging site visits
- Regular updates to the Church Buildings Team section of the diocesan website.
- Preparing agendas, reports, and minutes for DAC meetings
- Administer quinquennial inspection reports for each church.
- Assist in the organisation and running of any events and training sessions.
This post would be ideally suited to a new graduate seeking experience upon which to build a career in the heritage sector, or a competent administrator with an interest in architecture or history. The successful candidate will have helpful, proactive approach to their work, be highly organised, methodical and have a keen eye for detail.
