Department of Mission and Ministry

Band 3 £35,503 – £41,542

The Diocese of Gloucester is seeking to appoint a creative and discerning colleague who will inspire and enable others in their vocational journey.

Fulfilling the diocesan LIFE vision, the person appointed will play a pivotal role in developing diverse lay and ordained ministers from across the communities we serve. Working closely with the bishops and other colleagues, they will lead the development and renewal of Reader ministry and work with vocation advisors and assistant directors of ordinands to grow vocations to ordained ministry.

They will have a proven ability to excite and nurture others in the Christian faith and a vision for developing patterns of ministry that release the whole church to share in the mission of God.

We welcome applications from ordained applicants; currently black, Asian and minority ethnic people are under-represented amongst diocesan staff.

For more information or an informal conversation about the role, please contact the Director of Mission and Ministry, Canon Dr Andrew Braddock: abraddock@glosdioc.org.uk; 01452 835549.
