RECTOR – Minchinhampton with Box and Amberley

Published: July 5, 2018

The Bishop of Gloucester and Patron seek to appoint a relational, enabling and nurturing priest to this beautiful Cotswold benefice (approx. pop. 7,000). There are two parishes with three churches (A House for Duty priest has special responsibility for Amberley – an LEP with the Methodists). There are two church primary schools.

We are looking for a highly collaborative and discerning leader who will

  • love and lead traditional worship well whilst nurturing new ways of being church
  • inspire people to go deeper in their faith
  • be a prayerful, compassionate, and approachable pastor
  • enjoy being out and about in the wider community and encourage a stronger outward focus
  • help unlock the potential of the flexible reordered church space in Minchinhampton
  • build on links with schools and enable the development of the young people’s ministry

This is a benefice which is excited for the future and whose people offer their support and prayers. In addition to the HfD priest and gifted lay leaders, there is a committed SSM priest, a reader and administrator, plus local active retired clergy.
