VICAR of the Berkeley Benefice

Published: September 14, 2018

The Bishop of Gloucester and Patrons seek to appoint an engaging and inspiring priest to this benefice of three churches with much potential and whose mission is to be people ‘joyfully sharing the love of Christ for the common good’. To this end we seek a person who:

  • Has spiritual depth, is a strong preacher, caring pastor and collaborative leader
  • Has a heart for rural ministry and will enjoy the opportunities offered by both the historic context and new developments
  • Will creatively facilitate and lead worship in different styles and engage widely with people at all stages of life and faith
  • Can encourage and develop the gifts of all and will nurture prayer, discipleship and mission.

There is life and joy in this benefice, with further benefit to gain from sharing resources and developing community engagement. There is a ministry team and much active lay commitment.
