Could you help Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust?

Published: April 3, 2019

The Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust is seeking to recruit new members to its Council. The Trust supports over 600 churches of all denominations in Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and North Bristol.  We give away £150,000 each year, making grants to a huge range of repair, conservation and improvement projects. The Council meets 2-3 times a year, and there is plenty to do in between meetings.   We are seeking people with ideas and energy who can help to promote and develop the work of the Trust.  Skills and experience in PR, IT and finance are particularly useful.

If you feel you could help with this work, please get in touch with Jonathan MacKechnie-Jarvis on 01452 502174 or , who would be very happy to talk through in more detail what the role involves and how you may be able to help with the work.

  1. Hello,
My names is Keith Hyett and I am a guitarist who plays in venues such as churches, where I help raise funds for the individual churches. I have also given a large amount of performances around the South West including playing in village halls, and on a larger scale taking part in a concert in Worcester cathedral.
I would be prepared to help by giving recitals in churches around the area to help raise funds for the individual churches or bigger recitals in larger churches for all of the parishes, or even the diocese.
For further information about my music go to also have a look at the video of my piece ‘The bridge of Lodi’ on youtube at
Here is a couple of quotes about me and my music ‘he’s made a name for himself as a fine Solo Artist. He’s made a huge contribution to music in the South West in my opinion’. (Chris Fry)
World class guitarist (Chris Connery, Gloss FM)

    Best wishes
    Keith Hyett
