St James and All Saints and Christ Church, Gloucester are looking for a new Parish Administrator.

This is a new role that comes at a significant time in the life of this parish, with its two churches and many community connections in this inner city multi-cultural part of Gloucester. The church has an ambitious vision for one of its church buildings, and are taking steps of faith to re-imagine church as give-as-you-can restaurant The Table at Christ Church.
The vicar and PCC share ministry with a part-time parish community development worker and associate priest, Reader, and many other volunteer lay ministers. It is expected that the parish administrator will work as part of this team and play an essential role in the development of ministry and mission in this multi-cultural parish.
This is an administrative, governance and communications role that will involve working with volunteers. The post holder will help provide administrative support, promote parish activities and fund-raising, and will support the PCC to carry out its GDPR, safeguarding, health and safety and employment responsibilities.
The parish uses the church administrative software, ChurchSuite.
As a new role this job description provides an outline of responsibility and how the post holder can play a key part in how the role develops and contributes to the life of the church. It is intended to be flexible and it will be reviewed at least annually to ensure the post develops to reflect the needs of the parish.
