Priest in Charge of the ‘Moreton Vale’ Benefice

Published: October 16, 2020

We are a group of 5 conservative evangelical churches based around St David’s church, Moreton in Marsh, in the Heart of the Cotswolds.  With a combined ER of 300 adults plus 40 children and a team of 7 full time and part time staff, the Benefice has an important role to play both locally and further afield.

In God’s grace we are looking for a godly, Christ-dependent, gifted Bible expositor who has the ability to help us grow in faith and impact for the gospel in our Benefice and beyond.

The presentation is currently suspended as the Deanery goes through a process of review and restructuring for mission. Following any resulting pastoral reorganisation, the Minister should expect to be licensed as Rector.

In accordance with the House of Bishops’ declaration the PCCs have, for theological reasons, passed a resolution requesting a male priest for this role.

For an informal discussion about the role contact the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 01452 835594 or 07498 052045.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 12 November 2020 at 12 Noon

Interviews: Thursday 17 December 2020

Completed applications should be sent to Debbie Long, PA to The Archdeacon of Cheltenham, at
