Following a review of Governance, two new lay trustees are to be appointed to the Board of the Charity with the aim of enlarging membership to a total of seven of which four will be members from the clergy and three who will be lay. Trustees are volunteers and the post is not remunerated.

Established in 1750 the Charity has been supporting churches and organisations in the Diocese of Gloucester for over 250 years. The Charity supports projects initiated with the support of congregations within the Diocese and is keen to support new projects as they become established. The Charity also supports individual members of the clergy.

Together with a passion to enable the Charity’s commitment to the support of the Christian Ministry and Ministers within the Diocese of Gloucester, applicants should have sound management experience ideally with a knowledge of budgets and financial controls, risk management and an understanding of investment management

The Trustee Board usually meets three times each year in Gloucester. Applicants will be considered for the Audit, Finance and Investment sub-committee which also meets three times a year.
