Youth Minister
St Matthew’s and the Minster, Cheltenham
37 hours per week with a salary in the order of £24,000-26,000 per annum

St Matthew’s and the Minster is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Youth Minister to join our team, who will re-shape the youth ministry (11-18s) as we emerge from the pandemic. We are looking for a gifted pastor who will lead our brilliant team of volunteers to encourage and disciple young people and equip them for sharing the good news of Jesus with their friends. You will be a pioneer, looking to reach out to young people in the community, as well as a vital member of the staff team.

The new Youth Minister will be building on a strong foundation, in a church where there is a long history of resourcing and supporting good youthwork within the congregation and across the town.

We are a growing, Bible teaching evangelical Anglican church in the centre of Cheltenham with congregations of over 250 adults and 50 children and young people. Our vision is to be passionate about Jesus and for him to inspire our discipleship, prayer and worship, outreach and community life.

You will work 37 hours per week with a salary in the order of £24,000-26,000 per annum.

Closing date for applications is Monday 18th October.  Applications should be addressed to the Rector, Rev’d Richard Coombs and sent electronically or by post to the church office.

Interviews will take place in the week beginning 1st November.

For more information about our church, job description and an application form, please see our website www.stmstm.org.uk

For an informal conversation about the role, Richard is available up to the 28th July; thereafter the Associate Vicar, Clare Dyson.
