You are invited to enjoy an afternoon gathering with all the colour, sounds and sights of Africa. Pull on your brightest clothes or African dress for a time of celebration and fun.
The Diocese of Gloucester has had a partnership with the Diocese of Western Tanganyika (DWT) in Tanzania since 2008.
Everyone who has spent time in Africa, who already has partnerships with DWT and wants to celebrate them, or anyone who is interested in global links would be most welcome to this free event.
Helen Sammon, spokesperson for the DWT partnership group said, “There are a number of very active partnerships between churches and schools in Tanzania, where there have been many visits. Links are all about developing relationships and friendships and being part of the worldwide Church.”
Most recently a group of teachers came over to visit All Saints’ Academy, but due to the Covid-19 restrictions, travel has naturally been more limited in the past couple of years.
You will experience some African singing, have the chance to buy some African crafts and see all the latest pictures and videos from some of our friends in Tanzania.
If you’d like to come along, tickets are free, but please do let Helen Sammon know at
