Friday October 7, 7:00 pm to Saturday October 8, 4:30 pm

Christian perspectives on the future of our economy, money and work

7-8 October, 2022

Green Christian’s conference this October is online on Zoom on Friday 7 October and in person in Birmingham on Saturday 8 October 2022.

Building back greener? asks what it might mean to build a genuinely sustainable, low carbon, economy and what distinctive contributions Christians can make. The day is inspired by Green Christian’s Joy in Enough project. All are welcome.

The event starts at 7pm on Friday 7 October 2022 online on Zoom when former Deputy Editor of The Ecologist and co-founder of the Dark Mountain Project, Paul Kingsnorth, will be speaking.

Saturday 8 October 2022 is an in-person, day event that runs from 10.15am – 4.30pm at the Priory Rooms (7 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street Station), Birmingham B4 6AF. Economics and politics commentator Grace Blakeley and scientist and theologian Professor Christopher Southgate are amongst those speaking. Workshops include: Money Makes Change, Tax Justice, Consumption and Advertising, Rage Against the Machine, and Joy in Enough’s Plenty! programme.

They look forward to hearing from you and hope you can join them – it should be a great opportunity for people to meet and talk to each other in person again! Donations are set at different levels from £10 to £30 and there are travel bursaries available for those under 30 years of age.
