Eco Church Resourcing – GWT’s Wilder Glos, Churches Count on Nature, and more…
Thursday April 28, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
This is the first in a new series of termly zoom gatherings, intended to offer resources to those working on Eco Church at the local level, as well as an opportunity to share stories and best practice with one another.
Lifestyle and Land are in focus this time, with a guest speaker from Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust (GWT) and stories from churches who ran an event for Churches Count on Nature in 2021.
Stephen Dawson from GWT will be joining us to share about the new WilderGlos initiative. It has great potential to encourage church members as to increase their environmental awareness and make positive personal lifestyle choices. He also wants to talk with us about the churches toolkit he is developing as part of WilderGlos.
We will also have a focus on Churches Count on Nature, which is a great opportunity to explore the nature growing in our churchyards with wider community and schools. We will hear from churches who ran an event last year, and hope to share ideas and encourage others to have a go.
Each ‘EcoChurch Resourcing’ gathering will include input on a relevant topic, local stories and opportunity for conversation. As well as the main theme for each gathering, there will be space for queries and conversation covering other aspects of Eco Church. All are welcome, whether working towards silver or gold, newly registered with bronze in sight, or just thinking about getting started.
Do also join the facebook group for more conversation and ideas.
