We live much of our life on autopilot. Mindfulness is simply waking up from the autopilot to become aware of what is going on. As we become aware we begin to see things differently and we can change our relationship to what we experience. Research has shown that mindfulness can help with anxiety, stress, low mood and sleep disruption. Mindfulness also helps us become more aware of ourselves and our self-destructive habits.
This course will teach you a number of practices which you can try at home such as paying attention to your breathing, your body, or the sounds around you. Sounds simple, but they’re not called practices for nothing!
Led by Ian Bussell and John Horan the next Everyday Mindfulness course is open to all.
