Messy Church Goes Wild at Viney Hill
Saturday September 17, 11:30 am to 4:00 pm
A fiesta of Messy Church Goes Wild, hosted at the Christian Adventure Centre at Viney Hill. This is an intergenerational day, with all ages welcome to participate. Using mostly the outdoor space at Viney Hill, activities will focus on exploring nature, and what we learn about God from noticing creation.
We want this to be a fun and engaging day for all involved, both families and those engaged in running Messy Churches. We also be showcasing some ideas and activities that we hope will inspire churches to try this out in their own locality. Leaders will have the opportunity to explore how they can try this in their own community, in an optional half hour leaders’ information session.
Messy Church Goes Wild is the movement within Messy Church which aims to encourage Messy Churches to meet God outdoors, love the natural world, experience a sense of awe and wonder there and to be more eco-aware in all we do, both inside and out, as gathered and dispersed church, for the good of the planet. Since the middle of 2021, Gloucester Diocese has been in partnership with Messy Church on Messy Church Goes Wild, with several of our churches piloting the new resources before their general release this year.
This is set to be a great event, with all ages welcome. Come as a family, or a Messy Church group with leaders.
