Social Media and Young People

Wednesday January 25, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Phone with social media logos

Snapchat, Instagram, Discord, Youtube – the online world of social media seems daunting and a little scary, and yet for young people (11-18) these platforms are a normal part of life.

In this workshop we explore how social media works, how young people interact with and through it, and how we can safely enter that world to be a positive influence online. Come prepared with specific questions and scenarios and together we’ll discover that when done right, youth work online can be an amazing addition to our work.

This is a free of charge event but spaces are limited so please sign up. Click here to book your place.

Barrie VoyceThis session will be led by Barrie Voyce (Senior Youth Connector) and a member of the diocesan Comms Team.

Barrie leads a growing network of deanery youth connectors, enabling and equipping effective youth ministry across the diocese.
