Liturgy style guide and template

The documents below broadly represent what services produced by our Bishops’ offices currently look like, and are offered freely to help churches put together their own documents as appropriate. Various churches do things in their own way, the Cathedral for example is a little different. The template below is modelled on Common Worship, and covers the different types of text we put in liturgies. We also include a couple of recent service as worked-out examples.

Confirmations and baptisms

Anyone planning a confirmation service or licensing service should be in touch with David Gardiner on if Bishop Rachel is leading the service, or if Bishop Robert is leading the service; .

Diocesan policy papers

In 2006 the former Bishop of Gloucester, Rt. Revd. Michael Perham published a number of diocesan policy papers. They remain official diocesan policy until such a time that they are reviewed or amended by a future bishop.

Bishop Rachel is currently reviewing all of these occasional papers. Her documents will be made available soon, but in the meantime please refer and use the papers in this section.
