Vocations

“We are all called no matter what our occupations may be. There is no special status in the Kingdom for those in 'top jobs' or 'important responsibilities' "

Have I got a vocation? Yes!

Our entire lives are a celebration of what God has done and keeps doing for us. All the different parts of our lives become our Christian vocation - God calling to us individually. While there may be blessings from special mission experiences, we need to remember that God is already at work in our everyday lives.

All Christians are disciples called to serve wherever we are. Vocation becomes an expression of our faith and the living out of God’s purposes in our daily life and work. Our relationship with God and other Christians helps us to discern God’s call to us where we are now and where we feel God might be nudging us.

To help you we have compiled a list of suggested reading which includes many book reviews. See below.

The Diocesan Vocations Officer is the Revd Pauline Godfrey, who works with a group of Vocations Advisors and receives office support from Natasha Kent.  We are here to help and encourage you, individually or as a Church, as you seek to be better disciples.
