Have your say on churches in Cheltenham and Gloucester
The Diocese of Gloucester and English Heritage have commissioned Cheltenham-based consultants CgMs Ltd to carry out a study of all the Diocese's churches in the Deaneries of Cheltenham and Gloucester, and they would like your help. The study, called
Taking Stock, will assess the architectural and historic value of each church and will seek to understand whether each building currently meets the needs of those who use it, and what its value is to the wider community it serves. A full understanding of the heritage and community value of each church will help the Diocese to manage its buildings more effectively; this will mean ensuring that the significance of each church is fully taken into account should changes to the building be proposed in the future.
