Fundraising workshops

In these sessions we will look at all the different ways that parishes can and do generate income. Bring your ideas and be inspired by what others have done to raise money for all different aspects of mission and ministry. We’ll look at church and community fundraising, as well as grants, legacies, life events and more.

These workshops include lunch.

Winchcombe, St Peter’s, 27 September, 10am to 2pm
Cam, St Bartholomew’s, 12 October, 10am to 2pm

Grant writing workshops

There are many Trusts across the UK who are seeking to make grants to churches and worshipping communities but many churches are unsure how to access these and how to write successful bids. These short workshops will help you think about how to tell the story of your parish or project in a way that enthuses Trust executives, helping you stand a better chance of being successful.

Preaching generosity workshops

These workshops are designed for anyone who leads in churches and wants to feel more confident in preaching and teaching about giving as a part of our Christian discipleship. These workshops will help us think about what the Bible says about money and how to share that with a wider congregation. These sessions are also open to small group leaders who make be leading home groups in the church too.

‘Friends of’… workshop

What are the benefits of a ‘Friends of’ scheme in your church or community? If you are looking at setting one up or already have one that you’d like to grow and develop then this workshop will help you to think about how your ‘Friends of’ community can be of best help in generating income. Many ‘Friends of’ groups support the fabric of the church itself, so this workshop is being run in partnership with our diocesan buildings’ teams.
